Palm Beach County Private School Guide

Compare the campus, the grade level and the everyday drive before choosing a home. This guide introduces selected private schools across the county, related Broward County campuses, and the questions to take directly to admissions.

Reviewed 2026 · Selected schools, not a complete directory or ranking

Private-school admission is separate from your home address.

A home’s public-school attendance zone does not assign a student to a private school. Contact each private school about eligibility, openings, application steps and enrollment terms. Buying nearby does not reserve a place, and an admissions inquiry is not an acceptance.

Use the schools below as starting points for direct conversations. Confirm the intended entry year and grade, the exact campus, and whether the program can meet the student’s needs. Preschool labels differ between schools; ask about age cutoffs and readiness requirements rather than assuming that similarly named programs are interchangeable.

If public schools are also part of your decision, check the exact property through the School District of Palm Beach County ↗ and its Find My School service. Private-school options and public-school zoning are separate comparisons.

Selected private schools by area

The order below is geographic, not a recommendation or measure of quality. Related campuses outside Palm Beach County are labeled beneath the local entry. Grade spans describe the schools’ published programs, not current seat availability. Follow each official school link to confirm current admissions information.

Boca Raton

Saint Andrew’s School

Pre-K through grade 12
3900 Jog Road, Boca Raton

A day and boarding school in the Episcopal tradition. Ask admissions which program and entry process apply to the intended grade, and distinguish day enrollment from boarding arrangements when planning the move.

Pine Crest School, Boca Raton campus

Pre-K through grade 8 at this campus
2700 St. Andrews Boulevard, Boca Raton

The Boca Raton campus does not include upper school. Pine Crest’s grades 9–12 are in Fort Lauderdale, outside Palm Beach County. Consider that later campus transition and its route before treating this as a single-location school plan.

Donna Klein Jewish Academy

Kindergarten through grade 12
9701 Donna Klein Boulevard, Boca Raton

A preparatory school rooted in Jewish teachings and values. Discuss the academic and religious curriculum, grade-specific application requirements and student assessment process with admissions rather than assuming one procedure applies to every division.

Delray Beach & Gulf Stream

American Heritage Schools, Palm Beach campus

Pre-K3 through grade 12
6200 Linton Boulevard, Delray Beach

American Heritage has campuses in Delray Beach and Plantation. Compare each location’s academics, admissions and transportation separately, and confirm which campus an application concerns. Test the drive to the campus you intend to use; one school name does not establish the same daily route.

Gulf Stream School

PK1–PK3 in Delray Beach; PK4 through grade 8 in Gulf Stream
Delray Beach campus: 2515 North Swinton Avenue. Main campus: 3600 Gulf Stream Road, Gulf Stream.

The early-childhood and main-campus locations are different. Confirm which site serves the student’s entry year and plan for the later transition. Ask about the school’s own age requirements rather than interpreting preschool labels as guaranteed eligibility.

Central Palm Beach County

Palm Beach Day Academy

PreK2 through grade 8
PreK2–grade 3: 1901 South Flagler Drive, West Palm Beach. Grades 4–8: 241 Seaview Avenue, Palm Beach.

The lower and upper divisions use mainland and island campuses. Test the route to the correct location, including any bridge crossing. Since the published program ends in eighth grade, include a later high-school decision in the longer-term plan.

Oxbridge Academy

Grades 6–12
3151 North Military Trail, West Palm Beach

An independent college-preparatory school with middle and upper school. It is not an elementary-school option. Ask about the intended division’s visit and application process and how course placement is handled for a transferring student.

The King’s Academy

PK2 through grade 12
8401 Belvedere Road, West Palm Beach

A Christian school with early-childhood, elementary, middle and high-school divisions. Ask how religious education fits into the school day and confirm entry requirements for the exact division. Evaluate the Belvedere Road route against both morning arrival and afternoon activities.

Cardinal Newman High School

Grades 9–12
512 Spencer Drive, West Palm Beach

A Catholic college-preparatory high school. Discuss religious studies, service expectations and the current high-school admissions process directly. This is a high-school option rather than a school covering younger grades; younger students need a separate plan.

Northern Palm Beach County

The Benjamin School

PK3 through grade 12 across two campuses
PK3–grade 8: 11000 Ellison Wilson Road, North Palm Beach. Grades 9–12: 4875 Grandiflora Road, Palm Beach Gardens.

An independent day school whose upper school is separate from the lower and middle school campus. A home convenient for one site may create a different drive for the other. Map both if students will attend different divisions or approach a campus transition.

Jupiter Christian School

PK2 through grade 12 across three campuses
East, PK2–grade 1: 125 South Pennock Lane. West, grades 2–12: 700 South Delaware Boulevard. North, PK2–PK4: 430 Center Street. All in Jupiter.

A Christ-centered school with different grade groupings by campus. Match the student’s grade and program to the exact site before measuring the drive. For early childhood, confirm which campus has the intended program and availability.

Other independent, faith-based, Montessori and specialized schools operate in the county. Inclusion here is not an endorsement, and omission does not imply a school is unsuitable. Ask prospective schools directly about accreditation, curriculum, learning support and their current admissions policies.

Settle the admissions questions before committing to a location.

Start with the intended grade and entry date. A school may have different procedures for early childhood, elementary, middle and upper school. Ask whether it accepts applications for that grade, how a waitlist works, and whether midyear entry is possible. Request the current calendar rather than relying on a prior year’s application dates.

  • Application requirements: ask about records, recommendations, assessments, interviews, student visits and any additional steps for transferring from another curriculum.
  • Program fit: discuss course placement, language study, arts, athletics and learning support. Ask who provides support, whether it costs extra, and what the school can and cannot accommodate.
  • School culture: understand the school’s educational approach, religious instruction where applicable, attendance expectations and student responsibilities.
  • Enrollment commitment: read deposit, withdrawal, refund and reenrollment terms directly with the school. Coordinate them with your relocation timeline.

For a student approaching a division change, ask what happens next. A campus that ends in eighth grade creates a different long-term plan from a school offering upper school at the same site. Even within one institution, a change of campus can alter the daily route substantially.

Compare the full annual cost, not only tuition.

Request the school’s current tuition and fee schedule for the exact grade and academic year. This guide does not quote a single countywide tuition range: programs, grades and included services differ too much for that to be a useful household budget.

Recurring expenses

Ask which meals, transportation, aftercare, uniforms, devices, books, activities and trips are included. Confirm the charges for optional programs, extended hours and learning support before comparing two schools’ published tuition.

Applications and assistance

Separate application fees, deposits and enrollment charges from the annual bill. Ask each school about financial assistance, payment plans and any scholarship participation. Confirm eligibility, deadlines and remaining costs directly; do not assume an award or funding approval.

Keep the education budget alongside the home’s actual ownership costs: insurance, taxes, association fees, maintenance and any club obligations. A smaller mortgage payment does not automatically mean a lower combined monthly commitment.

Test the school day from the community entrance.

A map distance is only the beginning. Drive the route at realistic arrival and dismissal times, including the approach to the correct drop-off entrance. Compare the morning route with the afternoon trip, activities and any second campus used by another student. Do not substitute a weekend showing drive for the weekday routine.

Ask the school whether transportation serves your intended address, where the pickup point is, what grades can use it and what it costs. A bus service listed on a school website does not establish a stop inside a particular community. Confirm late-activity transportation separately.

The All-Ages & Luxury Communities section and Casa Bella community guide can support that home comparison. No community in those guides is promised admission or a particular school transportation service.

Frequently asked questions

Are private schools zoned like public schools?

No. Apply directly to the private school and confirm its admissions requirements. Public-school attendance assignments follow a separate district process tied to the exact address and applicable program rules.

Is this every private school in Palm Beach County?

No. It is a selected geographic starting guide. Compare additional schools when a particular teaching approach, program, religious affiliation or student support need matters to your search.

Does living closer improve admission chances?

This guide makes no such claim. Ask the school about its actual selection process. Choose a location with a workable route, while treating admission as a separate decision.

Can Paul arrange or guarantee a school place?

No school admission or placement service is offered here. Schools handle applications and enrollment. Paul can help compare homes and locations around the campus information you confirm.

Should I buy a home before receiving an admission decision?

Discuss the timing directly with the school and your own advisers. Identify an alternative education plan and understand enrollment commitments before making a home decision that depends on an unconfirmed place.
